Streamlined Styling

The new design language is an ongoing collaboration that spans multiple products – including the FlexFusion styling system and the CryoGlow LED skincare mask – creating a coherent and elevated visual identity across the brand’s growing beauty portfolio.

At the heart of the design language is a focus on form and function in perfect balance. Sculptural silhouettes, flowing transitions, and carefully tuned proportions bring clarity to complex technology while celebrating the sensory and emotional aspects of beauty rituals. Subtle creases and chamfers define zones of interaction, guiding the user intuitively through each gesture.

A shared material and colour palette runs through each product, creating harmony across devices and touchpoints. Satin metallic finishes highlight areas of performance and transformation, while contrasting matt surfaces define areas of rest and touch. This approach establishes a strong, recognisable brand DNA that feels both engineered and elegant.

FlexFusion is a 5-in-1 modular hair styling system designed to simplify and elevate beauty routines to deliver salon-quality results at home. Sculpted surfaces mimic the contours of the hand and scalp to ensure comfort in use, and each of the five attachments – from the wet-or-dry ceramic straightener and hot brush to the auto-wrap curlers and diffuser – shares the same refined visual cues. Together, they form a cohesive, compact system that transforms the at-home hairstyling experience.

The language is extended in the CryoGlow LED Skincare Mask, where sculptural precision and softness converge to create a sense of calm and care. Gentle curves follow the contours of the face, while refined detailing communicates performance and luxury. The interplay of translucent materials and metallic accents echoes the FlexFusion system, reinforcing a cohesive visual and tactile identity across Shark Beauty’s portfolio.

LAYER has built a cross-category design language system with Shark Beauty that has been rolled out across FlexFusion’s touch points, materiality and form. The team focused on a silhouette and visual DNA that blends performance with desirability. The neat and neutral UI/UX prioritises intuitive interaction through an ordered, island based, hierarchy. The detailing and layout of inlets and outlets is driven by balance and the use of strict geometry to communicate the high-performance nature of the product.
