Hula Club is a sculptural lounge chair that combines enveloping comfort with an innovative approach to movement and flexibility.

Comfort in Motion

Hula Club reimagines the traditional lounge chair for contemporary environments where furniture needs to support both comfort and interaction. Designed by LAYER for Spanish furniture brand Andreu World, the compact chair extends the distinctive circular design language of the Hula collection into a more relaxed seating typology, with generous proportions and a continuous, enveloping form.

The chair's sculptural silhouette creates a seamless transition between the upholstered seat and base, while a distinctive handle integrated into the rear makes it easy to reposition. Concealed castors allow the chair to move effortlessly between settings, responding to the changing needs of collaborative workplaces and hospitality environments. Hula Club is available in fixed and mobile configurations, including an innovative weight-activated locking system that provides stability when seated while allowing freedom of movement when unoccupied.

Circular design principles inform its construction, with recycled materials, replaceable components and a design intended for disassembly. Available in a range of upholstery and finish options, Hula Club combines the inviting comfort of a traditional lounge chair with the versatility of furniture designed for dynamic, shared spaces.

“Hula Club is about creating a chair that feels generous and inviting, but also encourages movement and interaction. We wanted to bring a more dynamic quality to lounge seating, allowing people to easily adapt their environment to the way they want to sit, work and connect.”
